Citybus Dennis Trident 12metres ( Bus / Semi-coach Specification )

Other than the Cityflyer, Citybus also acquired another specification of Dennis Trident. They are in bus specification and semi-coach specification. Citybus then fleeted these Trident as #22xx - series.

In the earlier moment, Dennis Specialist Vehicles delivered two Trident prototype with bus specification. One is fitted with Walter Alexander ALX500 bodywork ( #2200 ) and the other one is fitted with Duple Metsec DM5000 bodywork ( #2201 ). And Citybus specially chose the Voith DIWA863.3 automated transmission installed on these two Trident.

Later in the mid of the year 1998, the next 2 batches of Trident semi-coach version started to deliver to Hong Kong. These Trident are fitted with luxury seating so as to serve on those long distance routes. The first batch, #2202 - #2231, is only installed with single door for entrance and exit. Where the second batch, #2232 - #2261, is installed with dual doors for separated entrance and exit.

The last batch of 40 Dennis Trident, #2262 - #2301, started to put into services in the early 1999. They are all in normal bus specification. The most special thing is that the staircase have been moved backward and located opposite to the exit door. The color of the hand-rail also changed to use the red one.
