Citybus MAN 24.350HOCL-N/R ( #2500 )
A new type of bus had been delivered to Hong Kong in the 20th October of 1997. Both the chassis and the bodywork was first to be seen here. That's an Australia made MAN 24.350HOCL-N/R chassis bodied with Australia made Volgren CR221LD bodywork.
Painted with a special Citybus livery, the owner of the MAN 24.350 is Citybus. It passed the examinations from the Transport Department and being registered as HN1013 in December 1997. With the fleet number as #2500, the MAN started its services in Hong Kong in the mean time.
Before the UITP Exhibition held on the October 1998, the bus was being re-painted as the standard Citybus Livery participated the exhibition. In the early January of 2001, Citybus had made a special livery for #2500 as the "Year of the Snake" bus.
