Discovery Bay Transit - MAN 18.260 NL262/R After the introduction of MAN NL262/R single-deck bus by Citybus in January 1998, to meet the open of the Discovery Bay Tunnel in May 2000, the Discovery Bay Transit acquired 5 NL262/R into its fleet so as to fully utilize NL262/R's advantages of large passenger capacity. The specification these 5 new buses are similar to the Citybus owned NL262/R, however, they are fitted with only single-doorway for both entrance and exit. Thus the passenger capacity allowed can upto 64 with 40 seatings. Other than that, the technical specification are still based on the MAN D2866LUH-22 engine, with 260bhp @ 2,000rpm maximum power output, and Voith DIWA-851.3 3-speed fully-automatics gearbox.
