KMB MAN 24.310HOCL-N/R 12metres ( AMN ) In the end of 1998, totally 33 MAN 24.310 were under production for Citybus Hong Kong which consisted of 31 buses bodied with Berkhof bodywork and 2 buses bodied with Volgren bodywork. But in the early of 1999, Citybus had announced that they will forfeit the acquisition of these new buses because of the limitation of its bus-fleet from the Transport Department. Despite of a Berkhof bodied MAN 24.310 was purchased by Kwung Chung Motors, and the two Volgren bodied MAN 24.310, the other 30 buses were all acquired by  the Kowloon Motor Bus in the early of 2000. Part of these KMB MAN 24.310 were originally painted with Citybus standard livery when they were being delivered to Hong Kong. The repaint of the KMB standard livery were performed in the Dah Chong Hong (Sheung Shui) service centre. These MAN had been put into services on April 23, 2000. In 2001, KMB have made a new order of 15 MAN 24.310 with the bodywork from Volgren. It will also purchase the two Volgren bodied MAN 24.310 forfeited by Citybus. That means the total number of MAN 24.310 in the KMB fleets will be increased to 47. The first new bus have been delivered to Hong Kong on 26th September 2001 together with the Scania K94UB owned by Citybus. The interior of the new bus will be using the KMB standard, including the yellow hand-rail, front-located staircase, which are all different from the two forfeited by Citybus. Upto the 20th December 2001, all the 15 new buses have been delivered to Hong Kong. On 9th January 2002 and 12th March 2002, the two MAN buses, on which one is newly acquired from KMB and another one is forfeited by Citybus, have been passed the Tilt Test, which arranged by Transport Department, respectively. These new Volgren bodied MAN double-deck buses had been started to put into services on July 10, 2002.
