Farewell to NWFB Leyland Victory Mk.II

New World First Bus have acquired totally 163 non air-conditioned Leyland Victory Mk.II from China Motor Bus for the franchised bus services commenced in September 1998.

During the bus operations in these two years, New World First Bus has bought 500 new buses with air-conditioned feature so as to enhance its services. As a result, New World First Bus decided to retire its old buses from its fleets. One of the targets is surely the Leyland Victory Mk.II.

At the end of August 1998, New World First Bus was ready to retire its last Leyland Victory Mk.II, LV30, from its fleets. For these, NWFB had specially decorated the LV30 for the retirement of the Leyland Victory Mk.II. On the other hand, NWFB had also offered a special departure for the Leyland Victory Mk.II to serve on Shek O bus route again.

After the last departure of Leyland Victory Mk.II on August 31, 1998, people no longer have any chance to ride on any Leyland Victory Mk.II with the Hong Kong franchised services.
